Sin is transgression of the law:
1 John 3:4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the Law: for sin is the transgression of the Law. (KJV)
Romans 7:7 – What shall we say then? [Is] the Law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the Law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the Law had said, “You shall not covet.”
What is your church teaching?
The Christian church is busy appeasing the enemy. LGBT Christians are demanding an apology from the Archbishop of Canterbury over the church’s treatment of homosexuals. Yet the bible IS clear, and what we are doing is failing to learn the law, and failing therefore to recognise sin. Homosexuality is a sin. We live in a secular society, and we don’t have the right (nor the desire) to see bible-based punishment meted out – we’d rather forgive and help them surely? However, we must still recognise false doctrine and shifting-sands morality when we see it. If the church won’t see that and offer to pray for those afflicted by sin then we are doing them a disservice! If we won’t tell them the truth, then the truth is surely not in the church!
I’ve written before about the need for rebuke (Link) and I’ve written before about how tolerance leads to suffering (Link). We must learn to be open and rebuke sin! If we won’t, who will? Be a white blood cell in the body of Christ and attack that which is attacking it!
One of my most popular, in fact probably my most popular post on the blog has been this one (Link) about otherkin – yes those folks who believe they are part animal, or have animal spirits. They are demonised, and they are not to be ignored, because as satan sows into people’s lives he is moving goal posts in the unseen that we are not even aware of. Subtly he is shifting our morality, and he’s shifting our perspective, and he’s ‘re-framing’ our view so that we accept what is unacceptable to God.
STOP! Tell your church leadership that you are learning the law so that you know what sin is. See what their reaction is – leave me a comment and let me know what they said! 😉
It’s really up to you. Learn the law and apply it, or perish.
