Ann Barnhardt on ‘niceness’

Now you know how I love looking at word definitions, so I checked, and indeed the word nice is defined thus:

1250-1300; Middle English: foolish, stupid < Old French: silly, simple < Latin nescius ignorant, incapable, equivalent to ne- negative prefix + sci- (stem of scīre to know; see science ) + -us adj. suffix (source)

I would say that that agrees nicely (if you’ll pardon the pun) with the phrase ‘tolerance leads to suffering’ which I used previously for basically the same issue – being too nice.

Thank you to Ann for making this video – this is information we all need!

God Bless you

Lis
